In Quebec, the security guard permit issued by the Bureau de la Sécurité privée (BSP) is mandatory for every person wishing to work as a security guard. Prior to applying for this permit, you must successfully complete a 70-hour basic security guard training program recognized by the BSP.

How to register

Go to the Montreal training centre, between 8 AM and 4 PM, Monday to Friday

Bring a photo identification.

You have to be at least 18 years of age with no criminal record.

The training is available on a daytime, evening and weekend schedule all year. The duration of the training is 70 hours..
